Leanne has extensive experience engaging with issues at the intersection of public policy, technology and law.
Leanne has held senior public policy, regulatory and industry engagement roles at the Law Institute of Victoria, iiNet, NBN Co and Vocus. Before moving into regulatory and public policy roles, she was a senior lawyer specialising in commercial litigation, including acting on behalf of iiNet in landmark copyright litigation from trial to the the unanimous High Court win.
Leanne's previous board positions include Communications Alliance, Carlton Neighbourhood Learning Centre and Regina Coeli (now part of McAuley Community Services for Women).
Leanne can assist organisations looking for support on a broad range of public policy, regulatory and governance matters including:
- strategic advice on internet, telecommunications and security regulation and compliance matters
- monitoring and analysis of regulatory and public policy developments
- developing policy positions and engaging with regulators and government departments, including preparing responses and submissions to consultations and inquiries
- collaborating on the review of internal privacy, security and whistleblowing policies and modern slavery statements
